Chad
With more than 30 years of hands-on experience, Chad brings deep construction expertise and strategic real estate insight to each project. He began his career in Bellingham, WA as a carpenter and advanced through luxury residential and high-rise commercial construction in Seattle. After relocating back to Whatcom County, Chad shifted into real estate with top brokerages like Prudential and Remax, while founding Platinum Builders to specialize in spec and custom homes, as well as property investment. His client-first approach and ability to navigate changing market conditions have helped countless homeowners and investors realize their goals.
In 2013, Chad co-founded Rubicon Homes, transforming it into a trusted name in luxury spec homes, custom builds, and land development. By aligning architectural design with market trends and delivering comprehensive turnkey experiences, Chad ensures clients enjoy seamless transitions from vision to completion. In 2023, he reinstated his broker’s license to further empower clients across the full spectrum of residential development—from consulting and construction to investment and acquisition. His ongoing leadership as President of BIAWC and service on its Government Affairs Committee reflect his commitment to elevating the housing industry and shaping its future.
Alan
As a proud Bellingham native, Alan has always considered the Northwest home, even when he traveled the world in the U.S. Marine Corps. Alan spent four years active duty in Combat Arms, focusing on Artillery and Marksmanship Instruction. After his service, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in Finance, Marketing, and Decision Sciences. His career has centered on these disciplines with a particular passion for construction services, where his deep industry knowledge shines. Alan is passionate about providing a seamless customer experience, combining practical expertise with a commitment to satisfaction at every step.
In the early 2000s, Alan partnered with Chad to form Platinum Development. Despite their strong start, the great recession, housing crisis, and other life shifts brought the company to a close. Now, 20 years later, the two have reunited—older, arguably wiser, and still passionate about helping clients achieve home ownership. Driven by a shared belief in craftsmanship and trust, Alan and Chad work hard to turn clients’ dreams into reality.
